Windstar Cruises President John Delaney is stepping down Wednesday, March 4. The cruise line mentioned that Delaney will deal with private priorities as Andrew Todd, president and CEO of the cruise line’s mother or father firm, Xanterra Leisure Holding, will proceed as CEO of the small ship cruise line. Delaney will proceed to supply recommendation to the model throughout the transition via March.
Christopher Prelog, vp of fleet operations at Windstar Cruises and former VP at Seabourn Cruise Line, will assume the position of chief working officer of Windstar Cruises. Prelog started his skilled profession on ships and since then has spent all the time in hospitality and the cruise trade, Windstar mentioned.
Moreover, Betsy O’Rourke, chief advertising and marketing officer for Xanterra and the previous senior vp of selling for Royal Caribbean, will “lend her experience” to Windstar throughout this time, the cruise line mentioned.
Notably, the manager modifications come as the road continues its $250 million Star Plus Initiative, by which all three of its yacht-like ships, representing half of the cruise line’s fleet, are being lengthened to include new suites, eating venues and public areas. These embody the Star Grill by Steven Raichlen, an off-the-cuff, alfresco barbecue restaurant developed in partnership with the well-known chef, in addition to a brand new infinity pool and a 1,374-square-foot, three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath Grand Proprietor’s Suite.
Star Plus renovations started this previous October. The primary of the newly renovated ships, the Star Breeze, is about to return to service in Could, adopted by the Star Legend and Star Pleasure.
